Atori: Portable Rhinitis Nebulizer

Revolutionizing Rhinitis Treatment with Elegance and Discretion

Allergic rhinitis is a prevalent disease nowadays, but patients lack suitable emergency methods when they have a sudden outbreak of the disease in public. The methods they usually use, such as blowing the nose with tissues, cannot remove the allergen in time, and the traditional spray-in medications are not suitable for use in public places due to the way of using and the product size. Hence, patients often embarrass themselves for their runny noses.

Introducing Atori, a groundbreaking portable rhinitis nebulizer designed by Xiyu Zheng. Atori addresses the challenges faced by rhinitis patients, providing an elegant and discreet solution for administering medication on the go.

What sets Atori apart is its unconscious design, which is based on user behavior. By nebulizing the medication, users can use it with grace and discretion. Unlike traditional nasal spray products that are often misused, Atori ensures correct administration by modifying the angle of the nozzle and adding a structural curve against the nasal cartilage. The dosage released at one time is controlled by a switch button, preventing excessive use.

The technology behind Atori involves a small ultrasonic nebulizer that converts liquid medication into a mist for inhalation therapy. The design utilizes an injection molding process to produce an integrated shell, with a replaceable bottle of medicine to extend the product's life. Atori is made using high-quality materials such as silicone, PET, and PVC.

With dimensions of 85mm x 65mm x 30mm, Atori is compact and easily portable, allowing users to carry it discreetly in their bags or pockets. Its sleek and minimalist design makes it a stylish accessory that seamlessly integrates into the user's lifestyle.

The interaction with Atori is simple and intuitive. Users open the lid, hold the portable nebulizer according to its shape, and place the silicone nose pad against the nasal column. The nozzle naturally inserts into the nostril. By pressing the switch, the nebulized medication spray starts, and users inhale the mist to relieve their symptoms.

The Atori project started in January 2022 in Shanghai and was completed in the same month. It was exhibited at H'art Beijing, showcasing its innovative approach to rhinitis treatment. The design team, consisting of Xiyu Zheng, An Chen, Wentao Zhang, Xueying Sun, and Jie Zhang, collaborated closely with professional physicians to ensure the product's effectiveness and user-centered design.

Atori has received recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Medical Devices and Medical Equipment Design category in 2022. This prestigious award honors well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Atori's integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and user satisfaction contribute to a better world.

With Atori, rhinitis patients no longer have to compromise their elegance and discretion when seeking relief from their symptoms. This portable nebulizer revolutionizes the way rhinitis is treated, providing a user-friendly and stylish solution for on-the-go medication administration.
